Oxygen Express: Railways has so far delivered 21392 tons of ‘Sanjeevani’ to the entire country, Delhi gets the highest, 5476 tons of oxygen.

Railways said that till now oxygen has been delivered to various states through 313 Oxygen Express trains.

E Delhi: The country is currently battling the second wave of Coronavirus. The railway is also playing an important role in the war against Corona, under which it has so far provided more than 21,392 metric tons of liquid medical oxygen (Liquid Medical Oxygen) through 1574 tankers to 15 states.

Railways said that so far oxygen has been delivered to different states through 313 Oxygen Express trains, while five trains with more than 406 tons of liquid medical oxygen in 23 tankers are going towards their respective destinations at present. According to the railway, two thousand tons of oxygen have been made available to Haryana and Karnataka, whereas Tamil Nadu and Telangana have been given more than 1800-1800 tons of oxygen.

The Oxygen Express started on 24 April. The operation of Oxygen Express trains was started on 24 April, in which 126 tons of oxygen was made available to Maharashtra. After this, a total of 15 states including Uttarakhand, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Haryana, Telangana, Punjab, Kerala, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, and Assam got the benefit of this facility.

Oxygen provided to 15 states

So far from the Railways 614 tons in Maharashtra, about 3,797 tons in Uttar Pradesh, 656 tons in Madhya Pradesh, 5,476 tons in Delhi, 2,023 tons in Haryana, 98 tons in Rajasthan, 2,115 tons in Karnataka, 320 tons in Uttarakhand, 1,808 tons in Tamil Nadu, 1,738 tons in Andhra Pradesh, 225 tons in Punjab, 380 tons in Kerala, 1,858 tons in Telangana, 38 tons in Jharkhand and 240 tons in Assam.
